The Latvian seaside is generally associated with a warm sandy beach, sunbathers dozing in languor, and captivating sunsets.
However, the seaside has much more beauty to share.
The campsite on the sea beach at the Vidzeme rocks offers parking, camping, picnic areas equipped with tables and benches, there you can rent a grill and buy firewood for bonfire or cooking meat, and there is a room for tourists traveling in caravans. The campsite is well landscaped, and there are toilets and showers there.

One of the biggest picnic places in Latvia
One of such holiday destinations is the Vetszemyu rock.
The rocks are located at the marine bay north of Rankulraga 600 meters south of Vetszemes in the parish of Salacgriva of the Salacgriva district on the Vidzeme seaside.
Follow the signs on the road!
Moving along the Tallinn highway in the direction of Salacgriva, after the turn to Tuja look for the pointer to the Vetszemyu Rock (Veczemju klintis) on the right side of the road.
The campsite on the sea beach at the Vetszeme rocks offers parking, camping, picnic areas equipped with tables and benches, there you can rent a grill and buy firewood for bonfire or cooking meat, and there is a room for tourists traveling in caravans. The campsite is well landscaped, and there are toilets and showers there.
Leisure, activities and events
The Vetszemyu rocks consist of 480-meter-long sandstone cliffs of the height of about 3-4 meters at Vetszeme. Loose layers cut through the cracks and shallow caves. These were the filming locations of the scenes of the Latvian feature films such as The Night Without Birds, and The Long Road in the Dunes.
If you are going to travel by car, you are better off carrying cash or credit card, as they charge parking fees at the Vetszeme rocks.
The Vetszeme Rocks is a wonderful place for a wedding photo shoot. Bizarre ledges and recesses, crags’ of radiating white to red colors, caves, filled with large trees, thrown out by sea, piles of stones – everything helps you create a unique world of your honeymoon.
In comparison with the white sand dune, there are fewer tourists around here. In addition, along the coastal cliffs the Klintis campsite is situated where you can relax during the honeymoon.

This is the most valuable, curative and sterile of all types of bath houses! It is not only a place where it is possible to purify one’s body, but also to have a rest from the daily grind, arrange one’s thoughts and forget about daily routine. The Black Smoke Bath House helps to accumulate life energy, as well as improve one’s mood and health. The Black Smoke Bath House complex will provide you not only a bath house, but also a barrel, showers and toilets, pergola, a big table with a shed for 50 people, children’s swing, a place for a campfire and a cosy kitchen for cooking and spending great time at the fireplace with your friends!
